Exit Strategy or How I learned to stop worrying and love the layoffs.
Well, the 90 day layoff notices have been given. At first, I was really depressed. But now, not so much. Why?

I can do better. I'm tired of worrying about my job every 6-12 months. I'm tired of the politics. I'm tired of the assholes I have to work for. Annoying people and just plain rotten (in soul and smell) individuals. There were some good ones, but the majority were execrable.

I did a LOT of extra work. Stuff that was not in my job title. Never again. I'm looking foward to a less stressful job.

Yeah, this about sums it up.
Dear god by XTC

Dear god,
Hope you got the letter,
And I pray you can make it better down here.
I dont mean a big reduction in the price of beer,
But all the people that you made in your image,
See them starving on their feet,
cause they dont get enough to eat

From god,
I cant believe in you.

Dear god,
Sorry to disturb you,
But I feel that I should be heard loud and clear.
We all need a big reduction in amount of tears,
And all the people that you made in your image,
See them fighting in the street,
cause they cant make opinions meet,
About god,
I cant believe in you.

Did you make disease, and the diamond blue?
Did you make mankind after we made you?
And the devil too!

Dear god,
Dont know if you noticed,
But your name is on a lot of quotes in this book.
Us crazy humans wrote it, you should take a look,
And all the people that you made in your image,
Still believing that junk is true.
Well I know it aint and so do you,
Dear god,
I cant believe in,
I dont believe in,

I wont believe in heaven and hell.
No saints, no sinners,
No devil as well.
No pearly gates, no thorny crown.
Youre always letting us humans down.
The wars you bring, the babes you drown.
Those lost at sea and never found,
And its the same the whole world round.
The hurt I see helps to compound,
That the father, son and holy ghost,
Is just somebodys unholy hoax,
And if youre up there youll perceive,
That my hearts here upon my sleeve.
If theres one thing I dont believe in...

Its you,
Dear god.

The things you find out...
Well, thanks to certain parties who shall remain nameless, I found out about a bit of hypocrisy (which I guess could be chalked up to pussy-whipped-ness. Interesting side thought, which would be worse to be called: p-whipped or a hypocrite? And is there a version of this that goes the other way? I shall have to create a poll after this, but anyway I digress...). To the either whipped or hypocritical party, I simply say eat a bag of dicks, asshole. You are not welcome in my home, presence or other sundry occurrences. I will point out your hypocrisy and/or whipped-ness for all upon any chance meetings, you overflowing sack of monkey-wank, until such time(s) as I am convinced that both behaviors have changed. However, I suspect Hell will have a Stanley Cup winning ice hockey team before this event occurs.

Love Minus Zero No Limit

By Bob Dylan

My love she speaks like silence
Without ideals or violence
She doesn't have to say she's faithful
Yet she's true, like ice, like fire
People carry roses
And make promises by the hours
My love she laughs like the flowers
Valentines can't buy her.

In the dime stores and bus stations
People talk of situations
Read books, repeat quotations
Draw conclusions on the wall
Some speak of the future
My love she speaks softly
She knows there's no success like failure
And that failure's no succes at all.

The cloak and dagger dangles
Madams light the candles
In ceremonies of the horsemen
Even the pawn must hold a grudge
Statues made of match sticks
Crumble into one another
My love winks, she does not bother
She knows too much to argue or to judge.

The bridge at midnight trembles
The country doctor rambles
Bankers' nieces seek perfection
Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring
The wind howls like a hammer
The night blows rainy
My love she's like some raven
At my window with a broken wing.

Another manic Wednesday...
"This job would be great if it weren't for the customers" - Randall Graves: philosopher, scholar, video store clerk.

Is it wrong to want to murder people simply because they're annoying?

No, I do not think it is.

Birthday blowout
So sometime (probably the weekend after my b-day) in July, I want to invite a bunch of people to karaoke. Monica and I know a great place with a plentiful selection of cheap cheap booze. Who's interested? I ask for no presents, just presence

Venture Bros Season 3
If any of you haven't seen the Venture Bros...what THE FUCK, MAN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It's the funniest cartoon I've seen in a while, and the sheer amount of pop culture references could choke a camel!

We interrupt your regularly scheduled movie watching...
To Announce that...

CHOKE IS BEING MADE INTO A MOVIE!!!!!

Yes, that Choke! By Palahniuk!

Here's the summary:

Victor Mancini (Rockwell), a sex-addicted med-school dropout, who keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida (Huston), in an expensive private medical hospital by working days as a historical reenactor at a Colonial Williamsburg theme park. At night Victor runs a scam by deliberately choking in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who "save" him. When, in a rare lucid movement, Ida reveals that she has withheld the shocking truth of his father's identity, Victor enlists the aid of his best friend, Denny (Henke) and his mother's beautiful attending physician, Dr. Paige Marshall (Macdonald), to solve the mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is lost forever. The film is adapted from the best-selling, critically acclaimed novel by Chuck Palahniuk.

So I'm sick in that "fucked up and out of it way." So if I write anything to anyone, just remember that.

Being an asshole is an artform. Now I like to think I'm a fair and balanced person to anyone who has not wronged me.

But.

Piss me off, and I'm am king of the assholes.

Seriously.

Thank Christ its 7:30.

I want to go home more than I've ever wanted anything in my life.

A sincere thank you
To all of you who made overtures of showing up and didn't on Saturday. Your presence would have likely ruined things. Fuck you. Except for those who actually called, who were missed.
